Terms of Service

1. The service

pjiu is a browser extension for Chrome desktop ("the Service") developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

2. Free use

The core companion features of the Service are provided free of charge. We may adjust which features are free, but features advertised as free will remain free for the version you have installed.

3. Subscriptions and billing

pjiu Pro is a subscription ($5 per month or $48 per year) that unlocks character import and the full action library. Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner acting as merchant of record, which handles checkout, taxes, and compliance. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Every Pro subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing. Unless you cancel, the first charge is taken when the trial ends and the subscription renews automatically at the price shown at checkout ($5 per month or $48 per year).

After the trial, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time by emailing support; access continues until the end of the current paid period, or until the end of the trial if you cancel during it, and you are not charged for a period you cancel before it starts. Prices may change with prior notice; changes never apply retroactively to a period already paid.

4. Refunds

7-day money-back guarantee. If Pro is not for you, email us within 7 days of the first charge of a monthly or yearly plan — the charge taken when your free trial ends — and that charge will be refunded in full. Refund requests go to pjiu_pet@163.com; refunds are issued by our payment partner to the original payment method, typically within 10 business days of approval. The free trial itself involves no charge, so there is nothing to refund if you cancel during it.

After the 7-day window you can cancel at any time to stop future charges, and you keep access until the end of the paid period. The remaining days of a period already under way are not refundable, and renewal charges are not refunded — cancel before the renewal date if you do not want the next period.

Charges flagged as fraudulent, and licenses terminated for breach of these terms under Section 7, are not eligible for a refund.

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Service on browsers you control, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may not redistribute, resell, or create a paid wrapper around the Service or its bundled assets.

6. Your content

Your journal entries, settings, and imported characters are created and stored on your device and remain yours. We do not receive copies. You are responsible for the characters you create or import: do not import characters depicting real people or celebrities without their permission, and do not use the Service to create or share infringing, harmful, or unlawful content.

7. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate a license if you materially breach these terms — for example: redistributing or reselling the Service or its assets, importing characters that infringe someone's rights (including real-person likenesses without permission), fraudulent payments or chargeback abuse, or attempting to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the license service.

Where practicable we will email the purchase address before terminating a license for breach, describing what needs to stop. When a license is terminated for breach, access ends immediately and no refund is due under Section 4.

8. AI features

AI features work through an endpoint you configure with your own account and API key. Your use of that provider is subject to your agreement with that provider, not with us. We never proxy, store, or process that traffic.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if no payment was made. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update the Service and these terms. Material changes to these terms will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
